ADHC Talks (Live Online): DH Data Roundtable Discussion Online
Description:
DH data often falls by the wayside as we focus on the flashy presentation which communicates impactful messages of data translation and analysis. When we make DH projects, we use data that has intrinsic value. But the data is not the project and needs consideration on its own.
Join us Friday for a roundtable discussion about data. What kind of data have you produced? What are you doing with your data to make it last beyond your project? What kinds of needs do you have for preserving your data? For making it accessible to other researchers?
We will discuss these top-level questions and then open the session up for participant questions in order to establish an ongoing conversation about strategies and practices for DH data preservation and distribution.
Facilitated by:
- Sara Whitver, head of the ADHC
- Brittany Waltemate, GIS and RDS Librarian
- Lance Simpson, RDS and Assessment Librarian.
