GIS User Group: Geographic Information and Geospatial Data Primer In-Person

Level: Introductory - no experience needed

In this workshop learn how to start thinking about the world and your reseach geospatially. This session is designed to help prepare you to enter the world of GIS and Geospatial Analysis. 

In this session we will cover: 

  • The different types of geospatial data
  • How geospatial data is created
  • Introduction to the world of geospatal analysis, operations, and statistics

About your Instructor: Brittany Waltemate is the Research Data and Geographic Information Librarian. She graduated from Penn State with a BS in Geographic Information Science and has worked as a GIS Analyst and Cartographer.
