Creating Data Management & Sharing Plans (DMSPs) for Federal Grants Online
Most federally funded grants require you to submit a Data Management Plan (DMP) or a Data Management & Sharing Plan (DMSP) as a part of your grant application. With difference between funding agencies and quickly changing federal policies, it can be difficult to know where to get started and find the information you need.
In this workshop we will cover:
- What is a Data Management Plan
- The requirements between federal grants and where to find them
- Considerations when creating data management plans (Research data lifecycle)
- Which federal policies apply to your research and documenting compliance
- Tools and resources available to you as a researcher at the University of Alabama
The session will be followed by a 30-minute Q/A and open lab time to ask questions and get started on your own DMP.
