Introduction to SQL with SQLite In-Person
This workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of Structured Query Language (SQL) and demonstrates its integration with Python for database operations. We will use SQLite and Python's built-in sqlite3 module and will cover the following:
- What is an SQL database and why would you use it?
- Create and configure a conda environment for SQLite and Python development.
- Basic SQL Commands and Syntax
- Hands-On SQL Practice - write SQL queries to create tables, manage data, and retrieve data.
- Integrating SQL with Python – Use Python to connect to SQLite databases, execute SQL commands, and handle query results programmatically.
