Introduction to High Performance Computing In-Person
Introduction to High Performance Computing
In this workshop lead by OIT and UA Libraries, you will gain an understanding of high performance computing (HPC) capabilities and access on the University of Alabama campus. Some prior Linux experience is helpful but not required for attendance. We will discuss basics of the HPC and demonstrate how to set up and submit jobs to the UA HPC. Topics covered include:
- What is high performance computing (HPC)
- Research computing services offered at UA
- How to sign-up and use the UA HPC
- How to submit jobs to the HPC
- Example workflow
