Special Collections for Music Research Part 2: Accessing Music Archival Collections In-Person
Are you currently doing research involving music?
Are you interested in using music primary sources for your research, including scores, manuscripts, writings about music, and historical recordings?
Are you interested in seeing special collections firsthand that feature music of the south, including patriotic music, jazz, blues, showtunes, popular music, and music at UA?
Then this workshop is for you!
In this second workshop, we will explore how to:
- Search UA’s music archival collections
- Interpret finding aids
- Handle archival materials
- Gain in-person access to these collections
