Location Intelligence for Business: Hands-On with GIS Tools In-Person

Goal: Introduce spatial thinking and GIS tools to analyze and solve business problems such as market coverage, customer segmentation, and site selection.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Understand how spatial data supports business decision-making

  • Learn the basics of spatial layers, symbology, and data joins

  • Perform a basic spatial analysis in QGIS or ArcGIS (user choice)

  • Visualize customer or sales data on a map

  • Identify geographic patterns relevant to a business goal (e.g., optimizing locations)
