Tableau: Creating Visualizations Online

After you create your individual visualizations (sheets), you’ll need to create a space that brings all those items together.  Dashboards are what you audience will see when you make your presentation, or upload it to an app.  We will cover formatting, filtering and several display hacks that will make your presentation impressive by all who view it.

This class will:

  • Demonstrate how to format your viz for various display types (phone, desktop, laptop etc.)
  • Help you properly align and display your individual sheets for peak visibility
  • Add banners, titles and graphics to your dashboard
  • Create interactivity between the items on the dashboard
  • Publish the dashboard for your presentation, or your website.

*Students must Tableau Public prior to the session.  Please have it ready to use before the class starts.

Additionally, this is not a beginner class, students must have some prior knowledge of Tableau (which may include the “Introduction to Tableau” or “Tableau: Creating Visualization” classes previously held.
