Data in the Wild: Finding, Cleaning, and Using Geospatial Data Online

Data, data everywhere, but not a drop to map? Come learn about finding and using GIS data from a variety of sources across the internet (and now to make it play nice with other data).

Attendees will learn:

  • Common sources of Geospatial Data
  • Data Formats 
  • Evaluating Data Quality
  • Cleaning/Fixing Spatial Data
  • Activity:  Cleaning a CSV of Spatial Data

She is the UA Libraries main contact for: Maps, Geospatial Data, Geological Sciences, Geography, Data Management, and Research Data.
