Tableau Calculated Fields In-Person
Calculated data items are a way for you to get new information from your source that wasn't availabe in the original source data. These simple tools will make you stand out among other data analysts who only know the standardized display elements.
We will cover:
- Sum/Aggregate data types and how to avoid calculation errors
- Generating new items such as time of day, or semester, using existing data
- Generate icons ( down/up arrows, highlights, etc.) based on thresholds you create
