Description:

ArcGIS Online StoryMaps are a great way to engage your audience through written word, interactive maps, and other multimedia content... but not every story is good for making a StoryMap.

During this online demonstration, we will enter the world of ArcGIS Online and discuss strategies for creating good StoryMaps... and when maybe to choose another platform to share your story online.

The class will conclude with a small open-lab session and Q&A.

Topics Covered:

  • What are StoryMaps?
  • Logging into ArcGIS Online with your MyBama account
  • Overview and demonstration of ArcGIS Online and StoryMaps
  • How to make a StoryMap
  • Benefits and Limitations of the StoryMaps platform
  • Strategies and best practices for building engaging stories.
